Cheerfully single at 68, having loved both men and women, and having produced a son, now 28. No grandchildren yet, but things may change in a couple of years. I was a university lecturer in Australia until 2005, when I decided that freedom and sanity were more valuable than academic politics. Now I am working as a freelance community interpreter and still reading and writing.

I would like to express my warmest gratitude to the Northeast High newsletter. Ten years ago this newsletter made it possible for me to renew contact with my three American "sisters". Our lives have not been easy, but it was so heartwarming to meet them again, and to re-forge a lasting closeness.

Thank you all, and may life be kind to you and your families.

So much has happened over the last 50 years it is hard to know what to tell. I came to California in January of 1970 and stayed. In 1976 I married and had my son the next year. That was a bad marriage which ended in 1982. I married again in 2006 to a wonderful wife who will be with me at our 50th reunion. We plan to travel on to Boston after the reunion to visit my son before returning home.
Cherry Valley is a rural area, minimum one acre lots, so much gardening to keep the place together.
After retirement I became the Corporate Treasurer of the Presbytery of Riverside, a volunteer job for me, but it has its benefits.
Though I seldom use Facebook, I do enjoy reading about Northeast and the memories many have shared. It will be fun to see everyone again. I'm sure we could all talk for hours about what has happened this last 50 years. I am anxious to hear about so many of you, so until we can exchange our stories in person, my best to all of you.

I have taken the opportunity to join classmates for the planning process regarding our 50th class reunion. Most of the other committee volunteers have assisted with many reunions in the past. Being my first I have found it interesting, especially visiting with classmates after 48-49 years. The members of the planning committee encourage anyone with information on lost individuals to contact us so we may correspond with them. And naturally, please consider attending the 50th reunion in September 2015. Mailings, e-mails, and this website will be your link to the festivities.

I still attend LNE sporting events. When I had cancer surgery, I got a get-well card from the athletic dept. of LNE. In 2008, I was inducted into the Hall of Honor part of the LNE HOF.

I'm still teaching piano and voice lessons in my home studio, directing choirs at the First United Methodist
Church in Waverly and accompanying for Waverly High School. Roger and I moved to Lincoln in 2010 after living on an acreage near Waverly for about 40 years. We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren, with one more on the way in November, 2014. Life is good!
