Nancy Sue Robbins
March 3rd, 1947 - February 8th, 2024
On February 8, 2024, Nancy Sue Everett Robbins went home to be with her Heavenly Father. At the time of passing, Nancy was 76 years old and lived in Pineville, Louisiana.
On March 3, 1947, Nancy was born the second child to Irl Clayton Everett and Lois Nora Kess Everett in Lincoln, Nebraska. She joined her older sister, Janet and was followed by her younger brother, Gary. Nancy was a fun-loving child with a mischievous personality. Nancy grew up loving Jesus and wanted nothing more than to be a pastor’s wife and mother.
Nancy wore many hats over the years, but being a Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, student, and Airman brought her immense pride. She joined the Air Force as a weather observer in 1974. During this time, she met and married Sammy Clyde Robbins and added her first child, Kelley, to the family. Nancy was honorably discharged from the Air Force and added her second child, Tim, to the family. Over the years, Nancy cared for her family, went to college, and served in the church as a missionary and pastor’s wife./p>
Nancy always had a heart for missions and fulfilled that passion by becoming a missionary to Mexico. She loved interacting with the locals, sharing Jesus with them, hosting families and churches for mission trips, and enjoying the local vendors. Nancy continued her support of missions by giving until the day she went to be with the Lord. Nancy had many interests, one of such was history, especially family Civil War history. As the family historian, Nancy dedicated countless hours traveling to meaningful historical spots and gathering genealogical information from libraries. She preserved her knowledge with family pictures to set the foundation for future generations in her family. As well, Nancy enjoyed helping others and bringing joy to their day. Her gift closet was always full so she could be prepared in the event of a special event or celebration.
Nancy may be gone from this earth, but her legacy in the Lord carries on through those whose lives she’s touched. Her humor and love for searching things out lives on in her children and grandchildren. Nancy will be missed and remembered for her zest for life and thoughtfulness. She is not in our past, but in our future. We will see her again!
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Irl and Lois. Those remaining and cherishing her memory, her children, Kelley Sue Robbins Long (Torrinio) of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Timothy Andrew Robbins (Sarah) of Rogers, Arkansas. Her grandchildren, Samuel Robbins, Hannah B. Long, and Sarah K. Long. Her siblings, Janet Smith (Fred), and Gary Everett (Jeanne). Her nieces and nephews, Shelley Novosad (Brad), Erin Rodriguez (Vino), Jason Everett (Lynn), Amy Bond (Blue), Patrick Everett(Wendy), and a host of other family and friends.
Nancy’s favorite bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” embodied her hope throughout life.
